Scuba Diving
The Whitsundays
Summertime

Whether you are a certified diver, or exploring the underwater world for the very first time, the Whitsundays will open your eyes to an unbelievable world just below the surface of the calm tropical waters.

Summertime carries her own scuba diving equipment and diving instructor to lead you into the tropical coral gardens for close encounters with colourful marine life, zipping to and fro about their daily business. Most of the marine life will completely ignore you, others will be curious and some even like to be patted, but all will capture your imagination as nothing else can.

We often have unique experiences with some of the larger marine life living in these waters. From Mantaray's to the more common Hump Head Maori Wrasse, these seem to occur more and more frequently.

The experience of being approached by a Mantaray bigger than a small car, or scratching the chin of a Maori Wrasse that weighs as much as you do is unmatched in our world. The Maori Wrasse in particular is a very gentle giant and wants only your companionship.

But the underwater world is not just made from all the big marine life. Some of the smallest marine creatures will capture your attention with antics you just wont believe and colours that dazzle. The Clown Fish (Yep, just like Nemo) and the Feather Star are common on nearly every dive and will leave you with a light heart for the rest of the day.

We've got quite a collection of diving images and diving videos from the Whitsundays in our Photo Gallery and the Cinema. Click on the tabs on the left hand edge of this page to get there.
